Usage
When adjectives are applied to a noun, there is an apostrophe placed within written text and a small pause placed between the words. Names are generally the result of taking parts of words and melding them together to form something new, oftentimes with other languages being intermingled, resulting in most native speakers having a distinctive name, especially given the fact that it is generally considered rude to name someone else after another person unless they are related. Stating that there is half or less than an entire amount of something oftentimes involves the speaker cutting the word in half, thus making greater context relevant for discussions, although this is more common in informal speech.
